From 10k’s, 5k’s, bungee jumps and sky dives I try to do something to raise money for charity every year.
The last few years I’ve been doing it for mental health charities in particular as I have seen and heard plenty about the struggles people face in getting the help they need.
The last two years I did a Hopewalk to raise money for Papyrus.
PAPYRUS is the national charity for the prevention of young suicide and believes that many young suicides are preventable. They operate HOPELINEUK, a confidential call, text, and email helpline for young people with thoughts of suicide or those concerned about a young person who may have thoughts of suicide.
This year I have taken a big old leap and signed up for 100 miles in March for Mind.
Considering I struggled with the 10k’s I did previously, coupled with the fact that my mental and physical health have prevented me from getting out of bed most days let alone leaving the house for weeks (months?) now this is definitely going to be a CHALLENGE!!!, worthy of capitalisation and exclamation marks.

I also had not even thought about what that meant in km until this very moment, so thank you google! At least I have a month to get through them, but my usual days of resting after a big walk may have to be given a miss.
This is intended to push myself, physically and mentally, but in a good way. I’m not planning on doing anything that will cause me permanent damage and if I need to rest and relax for a few days then obviously I will, but I am going out on some little walks this month to build up my stamina and I’m feeling positive that I will try my best to reach the 100 mile goal by the end of March.
If you would like to donate, share my link, join me for a walk or just send me some positive thoughts I would be very grateful, so here it is!

I’ve always wanted to raise money for charity like that, but my health is a huge hindrance. Good luck

Yes mine is too a lot of the time. There’s plenty of things you could do that are better for you if you ever want to, low effort, but don’t put pressure on yourself.
