Honeymoon Hopewalk

Today is the last day of my honeymoon, and as I said previously I wanted to do my Hopewalk here this year.

I’ve actually only left the cabin twice all week because wouldn’t you know it the day before we went away I became quite ill and have been either sleeping or coughing my way through the week with the assistance of cough syrup, painkillers and cold and flu tablets.

I don’t think I’m going to manage as long or difficult a walk as I had in mind, but what I have to remind myself is that the distance isn’t the point, raising awareness and donations for Papyrus is.

Suicide prevention and awareness is a cause very close to my heart so even if the walk doesn’t go as planned, I’m gonna put my papyrus t shirt on, talk to anyone that asks about it (at a safe distance, don’t want to make anyone ill) and do my bit to raise awareness and funds that literally saves lives.

We paid for a WiFi package while we were here and it stopped working a couple days ago so I’ve also had to write this out and try and keep it safe until we were in the car on our way to the national forest I’m doing my walk in.

If you’d like to learn more about Papyrus please check out my previous post here and if you’d like to donate you can find my link below.

Wish me luck!
